The EPak represents the most innovative product Eartec has developed throughout our 60-year history. This compact full duplex transceiver delivers hands-free, simultaneous talk communication and features a second RF module enabling the use of lightweight wireless headsets. This flexibility supports personnel requiring discreet communication without traditional plug-in wired headsets.
EPak units function immediately out of the box with no base station, tuning, or FCC licensing required. These lightweight digital transceivers weigh just 2.5 oz. and can be worn inside a pocket or clipped to clothing. To operate, simply insert a charged Li-poly battery (included), power the units "ON" and pair one of Eartec's wireless headsets. All radios in a system connect automatically, creating an open line talking pattern for up to nine users within a 400-yard range.
Frequency Hopping is the specialized wireless protocol employed by all EPak systems to avoid or bypass interference. EPak units feature encrypted digital transmissions that function like a bouncing ball, continuously shifting from channel to channel every fraction of a second. Because they only transmit on clear frequencies, multiple EPak systems can operate simultaneously in the same location without interfering with other wireless equipment.
EPak units feature field programmable circuitry, making smaller systems easily expandable. Engineered to perfection, built with precision and excelling in performance, EARTEC EPak represents the intercom of tomorrow available today.
